What is the Eurostile® font? Eurostile was originally produced in 1962 by the Nebiolo foundry as a more seasoned and complete version of its earlier Microgramma typeface, a caps-only design by Alessandro Butti used to label the foundry catalog. The family reflects the forward-looking spirit of the 1950s and 1960s.

Its linear nature suggests modern architecture , with an appeal both technical and functional. The squarish shapes with their rounded corners evoke the appearance of television screens of the 1950s and 1960s. Eurostile font style is geometric sans-serif typeface designed by Aldo Novarese in 1962. Typeface designer Novarese originally made Eurostile for one of the best-known Italian foundries, Nebiolo in Turin. Novarese developed Eurostile to succeed the similar Microgramma, which he had helped design. Designed in early 1950s as a modern interpretation of sans serif letterforms, the Eurostile typeface is still an iconic, contemporary design.
